Who is Daizie Darker?

When Daizie Darker was three years old, she wrote her first song. It was about a small patch of daisies growing at the base of a giant oak tree in her front yard :

“If you can see a flower then you can pick it up” — just one line, over and over but that was the moment she knew she wanted to be a singer.

Music has been a constant ever since — through choirs, talent shows, a performing arts high school, and even studying two semesters at Berklee College of Music. But today, Daizie Darker is something rawer and heavier than where she started. She makes dark, unapologetically feminine music — alt-rock grit fused with metalcore weight — built for anyone who wants their heavy music to hit as hard emotionally as it does sonically. She’s carving out space for vulnerability, sarcasm, and the kind of honesty that doesn’t flinch, proof that hard-hitting and deeply felt aren’t opposites.

Her new single, “Walk All Over Me,” out August 5, sits with a question that doesn’t have a comfortable answer: do you want me, or just the idea of me?
